Existing First Floor

Using the skills learnt in my previous studies I produced the required documents using Revit and Auto CAD for the details. The house used for this project was built in the 1930's. It had single glazed bay windows and feature windows and solid masonry walls. To bring the house up to building regulation standards the windows required double glazed units and walls required the addition of internal insulation due to limited access around the perimeter.

For the loft conversion I added a dormer to increase usable floor space as well as altering first floor floorplans to accommodate safe access.

Below are some of the drawings produced for this project.

Refurbishment

This project was set during my third and final year at University.

The project involved undertaking a measured survey of a house and producing accurate drawings. Tasked with proposing refurbishments to upgrade the external envelope to current building regulations. The brief also required a  loft conversion.

The module focussed on the practical skills required to identify refurbishment solutions to improve building performance.

I used this knowledge to produce various drawings in Revit.

This project allowed me to further develop my technical drawing skills in Auto CAD.
