I am a graduate Architectural Technologist (1st Class Honours) from Solent University seeking work within the architectural industry. As part of my degree I have worked on residential and commercial projects, both individually and as part of a team.

From a young age I have been involved in building projects from DIY to newbuilds. My parents have completed various building works to the family home including extensions, removal of supporting walls and interior decoration. In 2015, we built a summerhouse with a block built spa pool inside and a glass covered outdoor kitchen. This was the first major family project where I was involved from start to finish, having an input on design and the construction process. Growing up around these projects inspired me to study Architectural Technology at University and pursue it as a career.

My degree has developed a knowledge base and understanding for Architectural Technology, with an array of skills developed. I have worked on both residential and commercial projects, both individually and as part of a team, developing projects from various stages. I have an understanding of the programs and software needed in the workplace including Auto CAD and Revit.

Currently as a family we are renovating and modernising a flat to rent, completely re decorating with alterations to the stairs and the addition of a bathroom in the upstairs loft conversion. This project has allowed me to use the knowledge gained throughout my university degree to produce drawings and suggest the most suitable alterations to make and materials to use. I am also in the process of drawing up plans for the family house to make a more open plan layout at the rear. I have used the skills developed in the Refurbishment unit at University to produce accurate drawings from a measured survey, which will be submitted to the local council for approval.
